"Places to go" and "Things to do" in Stehekin...

Stehekin Valley Ranch
Stehekin Valley Ranch
Great place to go for dinner! The Ranch serves up some great home cooked meals in a friendly and laid back atmosphere. Horseback Rides and River Rafting also start here at the Ranch.
Stehekin Valley Ranch is located 7 miles up-valley from this cabin.

Stehekin Pastry Co.
Stehekin Pastry Company (aka The Bakery)
Awsome local bakery! Whether you are looking for a sweet treat or a hearty sandwich and cup of soup, you can't make a bad choice here. They also have a selection of ice cream which hits the spot on a hot summer day. With it's central location, The Bakery is a great spot for breakfast and lunch, as well as a welcoming hang out between meals. It is an easy walk (about 1/4 mile) from this cabin.

The Garden
The Garden
An organic garden where you can purchase local organic produce, goat cheese (yes the goats are right out back), local honey and maple syrup. Always a beautiful place to just look around too!
This garden is about 200 yards from this cabin.

The Old School
The Old School
This one room Schoolhouse was built in 1920, and in use through the 1988 school year. In 1989, the students moved into the "New School" located just down the road. Today, the "Old School" is maintained as a historic museum which is a must see when you visit Stehekin.
Located 2 miles up valley from this cabin.

Rainbow Falls
Rainbow Falls
A 312' waterfall, Rainbow Falls speaks for itself, and is well worth checking out in any season.
Located 2 miles up valley from this cabin.

Buckner Orchard
Buckner Orchard
The Buckner family started this apple orchard. Eventually, the family sold it to the National Park Service which has continued to maintain the trees. Visitors are welcome to visit anytime, and even pick the apples in season. In October, there is a "Harvest Festival" where locals and visitors alike are welcome to come pick apples and make cider in the old fasioned cider presses. Always a lot of fun!
